The ICC programme is happy to open registrations for the ICC Study visit to the 5th Placemaking Week Europe in Pontevedra. The Study visit will take place on 27-30 September 2022 and is part of ICC work on Sustainable Intercultural Cities.
The cycle of webinars "Gender and Interculturalism" has started!
On 30 May 2022, the webinar "Health, Gender and Interculturalism" took place. This event is part of the project "Gender and Interculturalism", developed by the Cooperative Portuguese Network of Intercultural Cities in partnership with the cities of Lisbon, Oeiras and Vila Verde and funded by the Council of Europe.
Consultation on Entrepreneurship by Migrant Women takes place in Patras
Undoubtedly, the 241FE consultation event in Patras (Greece), entitled "Balancing Professional and Private Live as well as Entrepreneurship for Gender Equality” was a very successful initiative! It was organized onsite on 16th June 2022 by DAFNI KEK, the Greek partner of the “241FE: 241 Female Entrepreneurship”, EU project.
Co-ordinators and members of the newly established regional intercultural networks of Cyprus participated in a study visit to Italian intercultural cities in the region of Emilia Romagna (29 May-1 June). The networks learnt about the good intercultural practices and projects in the cities of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Novellara.
The Proud Cities summit is the Annual Diversity Charter Conference in Lithuania and took place in Vilnius on 3 June 2022. The Summit was organised by the Lithuanian Diversity Charter and LGL in partnership with Baltic Pride. During the event the intercultural policy model was presented.
An eventful month of June at Beit HaGefen (Haifa, Israel)
Beit HaGefen, the Arab Jewish Cultural Center, produces a wide range of diverse intercultural activities throughout the year, seeking to produce a deep and meaningful dialogue in Haifa, Israel. The month of June is particularly rich in events at Beit HaGefen which celebrates Arab Culture Days and the 10 years of Tachles, the Arab-Jewish youth club.

The theme for the joint Intercultural Cities campaign to mark World Refugee Day 2022 is solidarity. We wish to acknowledge the city to city support we have seen across Europe over the past months, as well as the welcome that cities provide to refugees.
Webinar “Identifying and preventing systemic discrimination: the importance of data and evidence”
On 23 May, the ICC programme held a webinar on "Identifying and preventing systemic discrimination: the importance of data and evidence". The event gathered around 50 participants from various countries to discuss practices and challenges faced when using and generating data and evidence to identify and prevent systemic discrimination.
The Intercultural Cities programme is happy to present three easy-to-use checklists to help assess whether your projects and policies are truly intercultural. The intercultural checklists are intended for local officials, working groups, civil society, and other actors.
