The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe feature amongst the priorities of the Georgian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (November 2019 – May 2020).
Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC): Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe presented at the Joint Meeting of the Working Groups on Culture and on Cooperation in Tourism
On 26 November, the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme was presented at Joint Meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Working Groups on Culture and on Cooperation in Tourism at the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey.
France: Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme presented at the Cycle of High Studies on Culture (CHEC) of the French Ministry of Culture
On 22 November, the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme was presented at the Cycle of High Studies on Culture of the French Ministry of Culture (CHEC) in the premises of the Council of Europe (Palais de l’Europe, Strasbourg).
Declaration of the 9th Annual Advisory Forum on Cultural Routes: Cultural Routes FOR Cultural Tourism
Following the Annual Advisory Forum which took place in Sibiu, Romania, on 2-4 October 2019, the 'Declaration of the 9th Annual Advisory Forum Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe' recognises the vital role of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe in the expansion of cultural tourism.
Lithuania: Conference and Workshops on "The Concept of Development of Cultural Routes in Lithuania"
On 7-8 October, the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania together with Norwegian Authorities organised a conference followed by a workshop dedicated to exchanging experiences on exploring the social-economic potential of Cultural Routes (Kaunas). On 13 November, a second workshop took place and focused on practical skills for developers of Cultural Routes and stakeholders (Vilnius).

On 4 November, the Certification Ceremony of “Le Corbusier Destinations: Architectural Promenades” took place at the Cité de Refuge in Paris (France).
Applications now open! Secondment opportunity for member States officials with the EPA on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe in Luxembourg in 2020
A “Call for candidates” has just been released on the official website of the Council of Europe for Secondment opportunity as Programme Manager/Policy Advisor with the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) at its Headquarters in Luxembourg City (Luxembourg) for 1 year, starting in 2020.

Iter Vitis Route: 2019 European Iter Vitis Award Ceremony
On 24 October, the 2019 European Iter Vitis Award Ceremony took place in Granada (Spain). The Jury rewarded 9 candidates of the European network of Iter Vitis Route by choosing to highlight the dynamics of sustainable development in favour of enocultural tourism.
Phoenician’s Route: the Globus Award to the Video produced by the Route
The video filmed by ArcheoFrame (IULM University of Milan) and produced by Mrs. Sara FERRARI (Executive Secretary of the "Phoenician’s Route") received the "Globus Award – Via dei Corti for the Development of the Territory", an important recognition delivered to those who have enhanced the Sicilian territory with videos and short films.
European Routes of Emperor Charles V: new twinning between Cities along the certified Cultural Route
Cuacos de Yuste (Cáceres, Spain) and Cava de’ Tirreni (Salerno, Italy) announced the twinning of their municipalities with Carlos V as a prominent link. Mr. Quintín CORREAS, Manager of the Cooperation Network of European Routes of Emperor Charles V took part in the twinning committee.
Routes of Impressionisms: launch of the "Paul Signac Route"
On 25 November, the Municipality of Asnières-sur-Seine signed the "Charter of the Values of the Council of Europe" and joined the network of the "Impressionisms Routes", certified Cultural Route of the Council of Europe. On the occasion, the new "Paul Signac Route" was launched. The project will be jointly piloted by the towns of Asnières-sur-Seine and Saint-Tropez (France).
Liberation Route Europe: registrations now open for the LRE Forum 2020
The 2020 Annual Forum of Liberation Route Europe will take place in Brussels (Belgium) on 4-5 February 2020. In its fourth edition, the event will be organized around 2 main components: the LREConference and the LRExpo. Registrations for the LRE 2020 Forum are open!
European Cemeteries Tour 2020: registrations now open
The European Cemeteries Route is noticing great response to the bus tour across 3 cities in Croatia that will take place on 13-15 May 2020. Only about 18 sets are still left! This special tour will be dedicated to stories from cemeteries and cities, and emphasize the role of cemeteries in cultural tourism.

European Ramblers Association (ERA): meeting in Luxembourg
On 20 November, the EPA Secretariat and EICR staff met with Dr. Gerhard ERMISCHER, President of the European Ramblers Association (ERA), and Mr. Claude HALSDORF, member of the Board of Directors of EICR and representative of the General Direction of Tourism, Ministry of Economy of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, to discuss potential cooperation and synergies.
"State Studs (Horse and Heritage)" Cultural Routes project: meeting in Luxembourg
On 19 November, the EPA Secretariat and EICR staff met with Mrs. Marie-Louise VON PLESSEN and Mrs. Alexandra LOTZ, representatives of the European Cultural Route project "State Studs" (Horse & Heritage) at the EICR Headquarters in Luxembourg.
"Shrines of Europe" Cultural Route project: meeting in Luxembourg
On 21 November, the EPA Secretariat and EICR staff welcomed a delegation of the European Cultural Route project "Shrines of Europe" at the EICR Headquarters in Luxembourg.
