GRETA publishes 10th General report on its activities
The Covid-19 pandemic is having a worrying impact on human trafficking across Europe and states should do more to prevent it, according to the latest annual report from the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA).

against Trafficking in Human Beings, the Group of Experts tasked with its’ monitoring (GRETA) observed that trafficking for the purpose of labour exploitation is increasingly on the rise; indeed, it has emerged as the predominant form of trafficking in some European countries.
GRETA publishes its third report on Bulgaria

In a new report on Bulgaria recently published, the Council of Europe’s anti-trafficking group GRETA calls on the authorities to improve trafficking victims’ access to justice and compensation, and to ensure the sustainability of anti-trafficking measures through the allocation of appropriate funding.This third report on Bulgaria’s implementation of the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings focuses on access to justice and effective remedies for victims of trafficking in human beings.
GRETA publishes its third report on Denmark

In a report recently published, the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) urges Denmark to improve the identification and protection of victims of trafficking, and to ensure that human trafficking offences are investigated, prosecuted and lead to effective, proportionate and dissuasive sanctions. This third report on Denmark’s implementation of the Convention, focuses on access to justice and effective remedies for victims of trafficking in human beings.
GRETA publishes its third report on Georgia

In its third report on Georgia's implementation of the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, the Council of Europe’s anti-human trafficking monitoring body (GRETA) acknowledges progress in implementing the Convention, but calls on the authorities to step up their efforts to investigate cases of human trafficking and bring the perpetrators to justice, making sure that victims receive compensation and support towards their rehabilitation. The evaluation report focuses on access to justice and effective remedies for human trafficking victims.
GRETA visits France as part of the third evaluation round
15 February 2021

A delegation of the Council of Europe's Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) carried out an evaluation visit to France from 8 to 12 February 2021 as part of the third evaluation round of the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings. The focus of this evaluation round of the Convention is on trafficking victims’ access to justice and effective remedies. Prior to the visit, the French authorities provided a reply to GRETA’s questionnaire for the third evaluation round.
Network of specialised anti-trafficking lawyers and NGOs Webinar on recent case-law of the European Court of Human Rights
15 March 2021

A webinar presenting recent case-law of the European Court of Human Rights related to trafficking in human beings took place on 15 March 2021.  It was organised by the Council of Europe Anti-Trafficking Division for the network of lawyers and NGOs specialised in providing legal assistance to victims of human trafficking, first set up by the Council of Europe in 2016.
