For the Year 2017, the number of economically active persons was 426.789[1] . At the end of 2016 the total number of residents was 854.800.[2]

The number of active insured persons is 472.527: 244.427 (51.73%) are males and 228.100 (48.27%) are females.

Maternity allowance is payable to all insured women either employed or self-employed.

The total number of females protected for maternity allowance (231.462), represents 27.1% of all residents (854.800).

The insured population (472.527) constitutes 55.28% of all residents (854.800).
