Routes4U Photo competition � Terms and Conditions

This competition is organised under the 2017-20 Joint Programme between the Council of Europe (DGII, Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes) and the European Union (European Commission, DG REGIO), also refers as Routes4U Project (www.coe.int/routes4u). The Routes4U Project is located in the headquarters of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes (European Institute of Cultural Routes, 28 rue M�nster, L-2160 Luxembourg).

1. General conditions of participation

1.1 The competition is open to citizens over 18 years old residents of any Council of Europe Member State. Proof of identity, age, nationality and residence may be required.

1.2 Participants declare that all the information they provided is truthful and correspond to reality; they consent to the processing of this information in accordance with the privacy policy as described in 1.3

1.3 Any personal data belonging to the participants is for the sole purpose of the organisation and follow-up work pertaining to the competition and will not be disclosed to any third parties.

1.4 The competition launch date is 31st July 2018 at 12:00 GMT

1.5 The competition closes on 30 September 2018 at 12:00 GMT

1.6 There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

1.7 The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter�s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

1.8. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and the promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

1.9 The promoter�s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

1.10 By entering this competition, the participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1.11 The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Luxembourg law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg.

1.12 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or any other social network.

 

2. Prize

2.1 The competition is organised in partnership with Eurail.com (Leidseveer 10, 3511 SB Utrecht, The Netherlands). Four Interrail/Eurail Global Passes �10 days within 1 month� are to be winning as describe in the articles 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5.

2.2 One Interrail/Eurail Global Pass for a photo taken in the Adriatic-Ionian Region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia).

2.3 One Interrail/Eurail Global Pass for a photo taken in the Alpine Region (Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia and Switzerland).

2.4 One Interrail/Eurail Global Pass for a photo taken in the Baltic Sea Region (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden).

2.5 One Interrail/Eurail Global Pass for a photo taken in the Danube Region (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Romania).

3. Entry Method & Winner Selection

3.1 Entry to the competition is available by posting photos on Instagram using the hashtag #Routes4U, tagging the photo with @cultureroutes and adding the location.

3.2 A first selection will be made based on the most popular entries (a combination of likes, shares and comments), which complies with the article 3.1. The final selection will be based: On the location, in order to represent the four EU macro-region; On the topic �What does the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe represent for you?".

3.3 The winning photo will be chosen by a panel from the Routes4U Project. The result is final and no discussion will be entered into concerning the outcome.

3.4 Winner will be contacted via email before the 15th of October. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner.

3.5 No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

3.6 The winners� names will be available 28 days after closing date by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the following address: European Institute of Cultural Routes, Routes4U Project, 28 rue M�nster, L-2160 Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

3.7 There is no limit to the number of photos submitted, but only one prize can be won by participant.

3.8 Exclusions: Council of Europe (EPA on cultural Routes) staff, European Institute of Cultural Routes staff, European Commission (DG REGIO) and Eurail.com staff are not eligible to win any of the prizes in this competition.

3.9 By submitting a photo entry, you are confirming that you have own the photo; that the photo has been taken legally; people in the photo have given their permission to be in the photo and that you have the rights to distribute the photo.


4 Prize Conditions

4.1 By taking part in the competition, winners agreed to have their name and city of residence published on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe website and social media channels.

4.2 By taking part in the competition winners agree to grant a free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and transferable licence to use, reproduce, amend, adapt, publish, distribute, publicly execute and communicate, broadcast their photos.
