Action:[2] for adoption without debate, in conformity with the recommendations of the GR-SOC
To take note of the abridged report of the 77th Session of the Public Health Committee (Partial Agreement) (CD-P-SP) and to adopt the draft Resolution ResAP(2006)… on a vigilance system for undesirable effects of cosmetic products (“cosmetovigilance”) in Europe in order to protect public health.

1.         The Public Health Committee (Partial Agreement) (CD-P-SP) held its 77th Session on 15 June 2006 in Strasbourg. The abridged meeting report is set out in document CM(2006)161. The CD-P-SP approved by written procedure on 15 June 2006 draft resolution ResAP(2006)… on a vigilance system for undesirable effects of cosmetic products (“cosmetovigilance”) in Europe in order to protect public health set out in the Appendix to document CM(2006)161.

2.              The GR-SOC examined the report at its meeting on 9 October, and decided to invite the Deputies to adopt the relevant decisions overleaf, without further debate, at their 979th meeting on 8 November.

Decisions

The Deputies,

In their composition restricted to Representatives of the member States of the Partial Agreement in the Social and Public Health Field,[3]

1.         adopted Resolution ResAP(2006)...on a vigilance system for undesirable effects of cosmetic products (“cosmetovigilance”) in Europe in order to protect public health, as it appears at Appendix … to the present volume of Decisions; <see Appendix to document CM(2006)161>

2.         took note of the abridged report of the 77th session of the CD-P-SP (CM(2006)161) as a whole;

3.         brought the above-mentioned report to the attention of the Representatives of the other Council of Europe member states.
