In most of these cases, the applicants and/or their lawyers have received part of the just satisfaction awarded by the Court but have noted that there is a shortfall, in particular with regard to currency conversion and/or delay in payment (default interest). In four cases, the applicants' representatives claim that they have not yet received any sum awarded in the judgments. Details of the outstanding amounts claimed appear in the table below. The last letter from the applicants' representatives (dated 15 December 2000) appears in Addendum 3. The Secretariat recalls that by letter of 4 July 2000, the Turkish delegation acknowledged that in at least 4 of the cases (Kurt, Ergi, Yaşa and Aydin against Turkey) the sums claimed should be paid to the applicants by the competent authorities. The Secretariat has however not yet received the confirmation of those payments. As regards the other 13 cases, the Turkish authorities have not yet responded to the just satisfaction claims submitted by the applicants' representatives to the Committee of Ministers (letters of 24 July and 15 December 2000).
(See the table below as well as Addendum 3.1.c)
