Action – Item proposed for adoption without debate

To decide on the action to be taken on the texts adopted by the Standing Committee (Luxembourg,
29 November 2024).

Following the adoption by the Standing Committee (Luxembourg, 29 November 2024) of the texts reproduced in the Provisional Compendium of texts adopted, the Deputies are invited to take decisions on the action to be taken on these texts.

DRAFT DECISIONS

The Deputies

1.            concerning Recommendation 2287 (2024) – “Civil society and the Parliamentary Assembly: towards greater transparency and engagement”

a.            agreed to communicate it to the Steering Committee on Democracy (CDDEM), for information and possible comments by 28 February 2025;

b.         invited their Rapporteur Group on Democracy (GR-DEM) to prepare a draft reply for adoption at one of their forthcoming meetings.

2.         took note of the following resolution:

Resolution 2579 (2024)

“Civil society and the Parliamentary Assembly: towards greater transparency and engagement”


3.         adopted the following reply to the texts adopted by the Standing Committee (Luxembourg,
29 November 2024):

“The Committee of Ministers took note of Recommendation 2287 (2024) and Resolution 2579 (2024) adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly at its Standing Committee (Luxembourg,
29 November 2024).

Regarding Recommendation 2287 (2024), the Committee of Ministers entrusted it to the competent committee of experts for information and possible comments and to the relevant rapporteur group with a view to preparing the draft reply for adoption at an early date.”
