Action To decide on the action to be taken in relation to Parliamentary Assembly Resolution 2527 (2024) “Challenge, on substantive grounds, of the still unratified credentials of the parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan”.

At the 1488^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (7-8 February 2024), the item was taken out of the box.

At the 1489^th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies (14 February 2024), the Deputies agreed on the decisions as they appear in CM/Del/Dec(2024)1489/3.1.

Following informal consultations held on 15 and 19 February 2024, the Chair proposes the following revised draft decisions in relation to Resolution 2527 (2024).

REVISED DRAFT DECISIONS

The Deputies

1.         took note of Resolution 2527 (2024) “Challenge, on substantive grounds, of the still unratified credentials of the parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan”;

2.         stressed the importance of an open and inclusive dialogue in compliance with member States’ commitments and the Statute of the Council of Europe;

3.         agreed to remain seized of the issues raised in the course of the discussions at their 1489^th

(14 February 2024) and 1490^th (21 and 23 February 2024) meetings.
