Meeting report Strasbourg, 19 February 2024

 

The following items were discussed by the Bureau at its meeting on 19 February 2024.

1.         Use of the Foyer of the Committee of Ministers

The Bureau was informed that the Permanent Observer of Mexico would like to organise an exhibition in the Foyer of the Committee of Ministers between 15 and 19 April 2024 in honour of Frida Kahlo in the framework of the 25th anniversary of the accession of Mexico as an observer State to the Council of Europe. He would also like to present a theatrical reconstruction of Frida Kahlo's biography in the Foyer on

15 April 2024.

The Bureau was also informed that the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly would like to organise the ceremony of the Museum Prize in the Foyer on Tuesday 16 April 2023 from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

It recommended acceding to these requests.

Appendix

1.         State of preparation of the 1490^th (21 February 2024) meeting

The Bureau took note of the state of preparation of the above meeting and recommended that:

- the following item be added:

10.1      Convention on Cybercrime (ETS No. 185) –
Request by Tunisia for an extension of thirty days to the term for accession

- the following item be postponed:

11.6      Evaluation of the Council of Europe’s Monitoring Mechanisms – Follow-up

2.         Draft agendas of the 1491^st (6 March 2024) and 1493^rd (20 and 25 March 2024) meetings - Items to be entrusted to Rapporteur Groups and Thematic Co-ordinators

The draft agendas and relevant draft decisions for the above meetings of the Ministers' Deputies appear in the Notes on the Agenda CM/Notes/1490/1.2 for the present meeting (item 1.2 - “Preparation of forthcoming meetings”).
