Decisions

The Deputies

1.         approved the Bureau’s recommendations with regard to the agendas of their 1175th (3 July 2013) and 1176th (10 July 2013) meetings, as they appear in the Appendix to the Bureau report;

2.         entrusted the following chairmanships of rapporteur groups as follows:

- Ambassador Ellen Berends, Permanent Representative of the Netherlands, with the chairmanship of the Rapporteur Group on Democracy (GR-DEM), as of 9 September 2013;

- Ambassador Matthew Johnson, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom, with the chairmanship of the Rapporteur Group on Programme, Budget and Administration (GR-PBA), as of 9 September 2013;

- Ambassador Drahoslav Štefánek, Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic, with the chairmanship of the Rapporteur Group on Human Rights (GR-H), as of 19 September 2013;

- Ambassador Carl Henrik Ehrenkrona, Permanent Representative of Sweden, with the chairmanship of the Ad hoc Working Party on Reform of the Human Rights Convention System (GT-REF.ECHR), until 31 August 2014;

3.         noting that, in accordance with the decision taken by the Deputies (CM/Del/Dec(2012)1131/1.7), the thematic debate to be held on 12 December 2013 will be devoted to a relevant aspect of media freedom in Europe, asked delegations to submit proposals for themes, in writing, to the chair, with a copy to all the other delegations and to the Secretariat, by 1.00 p.m. on 30 September 2013;

4.         approved the Bureau’s recommendation to hold an exchange of views with Mr Lamberto Zannier, Secretary General of the OSCE, at their 1180th meeting (9 October 2013);

5.         took note of the report of the meeting of the Bureau of 1 July 2013 (document CM/Bur/Del(2013)15) as a whole.
