Action: To adopt the revised terms of reference of the European Committee on pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical care (CD-P-PH), as they appear in document CM(2007)183-rev. |
1. At its meeting on 17 January 2008, the GR-SOC examined the revised terms of reference of the Public Health Committee (Partial Agreement) (CD-P-SP), as they appeared in document CM(2007)183. During discussions, it was proposed that legal advice be sought with a view to allowing the name of the committee, which appears in the text of the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia, to be changed, to more accurately reflect its actual functions (cf. GR-SOC(2008)CB1).
2. The GR-SOC will resume examination of this item at its meeting on 5 February 2008 on the basis of document CM(2007)183-rev with a view to recommending the adoption by the Deputies, in their composition restricted to the representatives of the States Parties to the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia,[2] of the appended draft decisions which provide the possibility for the name of the committee to be modified, without amendment to the Convention.
3. The Chair of the GR-SOC will provide an oral report on the results of this examination.
