Decisions

The Deputies

1. took note of a report by the Chair of their Rapporteur Group GR-OSCE on the meeting held on 6 December 1999;

2. considered that the drawing up of a "Common Catalogue of Co-operation Modalities" by the Secretariats of the Council of Europe and the OSCE would be essential in ensuring full implementation of the Platform for Co-operative Security in the bilateral relationship between the two Organisations;

3. invited their Rapporteur Group GR-OSCE to resume consideration of this item at one of its forthcoming meetings;

4. attached great importance to the Secretariat being actively associated with the development and implementation of the OSCE's newly-created instrument, Rapid Expert Assistance and Co-operation Teams (REACT), in order to avoid duplication with the Council of Europe's Activities for the Development and Consolidation of Democratic Stability and to work towards efficient co-operation and complementarity of action.
