State of preparation

5^th European Ministerial Conference on Equality between Women and Men

At the 4^th European Ministerial Conference on Equality between Women and Men (Istanbul, 13 - 14 November 1997), the Government of "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" offered to host the 5^th Conference. The Ministers' Deputies took note of this invitation at their 616^th meeting, in January (616/4.3).

The Conferences on Equality are normally held every three or four years. It is therefore planned to hold the next Conference in "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" in the year 2000 or 2001.

Draft decision

The Deputies took note that the 5^th European Ministerial Conference on Equality between Women and Men will be held in "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" in the year 2000 or 2001.
