Basic information about the training course

The Youth Department of the Council of Europe, in co-operation with the Boddossaki Foundation and Antirropon NGO will organise a national training course for Roma and non-Roma young people who can act as multiplies and organise educational activities to combat antigypsyism.

In 2014, a first national training course on human rights education was organised with Roma young people in Thessaloniki, which has put the basis of a process of mobilisation and strengthening the capacities of Roma young people. The training course is held under the Roma Youth Action Plan project of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe, in particular its aim of enhancing the participation of young Roma in countries and communities where their participation is less visible.

The training course will take place in Athens, Greece from 16 to 19 November 2016 and will bring together 25 participants from Greece.

The aim of the training course is to develop participants’ competences to use Mirrors for raising awareness and organising educational activities against antigypsyism with and for young people in Greece.
